Netstor 12Gb/s SAS Expander JBOD storage NS390S-8028 supports the greatest data expansion ever. As one external SFF-8644 port presents four 12G channels, via only one single easy-connection HD mini-SAS data cable for host connectivity, up to 48Gbps ultra high-bandwidth is rendered between host computer and storage for the extreme lightning data access.

The NS390S-8028 storage is the most space cost saving enclosure in the industry. Created 5U in height with forty-eight drive bays inside, the utmost ultra high-density NS390S-8028 storage enclosure significantly and effectively saves the cost for spaces on the 19-inch rack at cabinet rooms in favor of all systems and institutions.

Built-in 12G SAS Expander Supporting Cascade up to 256 HDDs

The 5U storage provides at its rear side extra HD mini-SAS connectors for cascaded storage expansion, allowing maximum 256 hard drives scalability of multiple Netstor 12G SAS Expander series enclosures for the most cost-effective mass storage capacity up to 3000 TB*1 ever in support of all sorts of applications.

Excellent Storage Enclosure Management

NS390S-8028 is created to have excellent storage enclosure management that can monitor all the components via the front intuitive LCD control panels on-site, and features audible & visual alerts for the cooling fans, PSU failures and over-temperature.

Redundancy Server-Grade High-Efficiency PSU

The server-grade, high-efficiency redundant 800W PSU has been thoughtfully designed in NS390S-8028 to ensure all the forty-eight hard drives within the storage enclosure can run with ultimate reliability and stability in favor of 24/7 operation application for zero system downtime in support of continual production with power server and workstation.

Smart Stagger Power-On Design

NS390S-8028’s redundant PSU is designed to stagger the spin-up of the 48 HDDs inside. The storage spins up the HDDs in two groups, allowing hard drives to become ready without PSU overloaded by the startup current from hard drives’ spinning up all at once.

The DataBolt™ Technology

The Netstor 5U storage is equipped with the latest LSI DataBolt™ technology that intelligently aggregates, buffers 6G/3Gbps data and transfers it to the host computer at 12Gbps speeds, delivering up to a 2x increase in throughput performance, allowing users and IT administrators to take advantage of the 12Gbps speeds when using current 6G/3Gbps SAS/SATA hard drives.

Superior Enclosure Airflow Ventilation

Created eight big 12×12 cm cooling fans within the storage for the first ever superior enclosure airflow ventilation design with 3 × fans in the front, 3 × fans inner, and 2 × fans at the rear side, ensuring all the hard drives have the finest air dissipation.

Broad Range RAID Card Support

Netstor NS390S-8028 storage can work with any of the industry standard 12Gbps PCIe 3.0 SAS RAID controller cards with SAS expansion function, including Areca ARC 1883 series, Broadcom MegaRAID SAS 9300 series, HighPoint RocketRAID 3700 series, and Microsemi Adaptec RAID 8 series.
